Your thoughts shape your reality — but what if those thoughts are rooted in fear, self-doubt, or old conditioning?
Many women experience anxiety not just because of external stressors, but because of the limiting beliefs quietly running in the background.
What Are Limiting Beliefs?
Limiting beliefs are thoughts or stories you’ve internalised that tell you who you can’t be or what you can’t do.
Examples:
“I’m not good enough unless I’m perfect.”
“If I slow down, everything will fall apart.”
“I don’t deserve rest until I’ve earned it.”
How These Beliefs Trigger Anxiety
These beliefs often come from:
Childhood experiences
Cultural expectations
Gender roles
Past criticism or failure
When you unconsciously live by them, your nervous system stays in a state of high alert — always trying to measure up or avoid letting others down.
Signs a Limiting Belief is Fuelling Your Anxiety
You feel guilty for relaxing
You overthink even small decisions
You tie your worth to your productivity
You fear what others think of you constantly
What to Do About It
Start with this CBT-based practice:
Identify the belief: “I’m only valuable when I’m productive.”
Ask: What’s the evidence for and against this?
Reframe: “I am worthy even when I rest. My value doesn’t depend on output.”
🌿 Inside my coaching membership, we work on unlearning these beliefs and building calm, confident self-trust from the inside out.
